When I used to do assignments for Architects and Builders, I would often wet down a deck before I took the photograph. This would bring out the detail in the wood and make it shine. In this photograph of an ocean walkway in Litchfield, South Carolina, Mother Nature did the work for me. While waiting for the sun to come up that morning, the rain came first. I was losing hope. Finally after an hour or so of waiting, the clouds started to break up ever so slightly. Enough to put a little light on that beautiful wood walkway. I’ve learned over the years to be patient and don’t give up. Also available in black and white and color.
